“With a passion for knowledge retention and continuous learning, my higher education journey began with a foundation in Social Work, earning a B.A. from San Jose State University. After starting a job with Apple, I decided to leave the workforce to homeschool my children—which is where I discovered my passion for the art of education. When my kids grew up and left the nest, I attended Saint Mary’s University, where I received M.A. in ESL.

Through the course of both mine and my childrens’ education, I realized that learning should be a transformative experience—that individuals should not only comprehend the information they are retaining, but use it to thrive.

And while effective learning is essential to the development of children, it’s also crucial for adults to continue retaining knowledge so that they can make impactful contributions to their professional landscapes—which is why I have come to specialize in adult learning theory.
